Discover the Best Clonazolam Source: Unveiling the Secret
Clonazolam (also known as clonitrazolam) is a highly potent designer benzodiazepine that has been increasingly sold as an alternative to other prescription benzodiazepines. With strong sedative, anxiolytic, and muscle relaxant properties, it is a derivative of clonazepam (Klonopin) and alprazolam (Xanax). Despite not having a license to be used therapeutically, clonazolam was first manufactured in 1971. A few states, including Virginia, Louisiana, North Carolina, Oregon, and Minnesota, classify it as a Schedule I medication, and the US Food and Medication Association (FDA) has never authorized it.
Class I medications are those that have a high potential for misuse and no recognized medicinal value. That being said, clonazolam is not subject to international regulation and is readily available for purchase online as a designer medicine.
What is Clonazolam?
Clonazolam, also known as Clonitrazolam, is a potent benzodiazepine compound. It belongs to the same chemical class as Clonazepam (Klonopin) and offers anxiolytic, sedative, muscle relaxant, and amnesic effects when administered. Due to its potency, Clonazolam is recommended only for experienced chemical researchers

How does Clonazolam work?
Like other benzodiazepines, clonazolam is a derivative of clonazepam and alprazolam. It attaches itself to the GABA-A receptor’s benzodiazepine receptor. When this receptor is bound, GABA is attenuated (made stronger). Neuro inhibition follows, which induces serenity, muscular relaxation, and drowsiness.
Excessive dosages of GABAergics, such as clonazolam, can result in disinhibition and memory loss, along with intoxication effects akin to those of alcohol or GHB.
Mechanism of action
| Step | Description |
|---|---|
| Binding | Attaches to benzodiazepine receptor on GABA-A |
| GABA enhancement | Increases GABA effect |
| Result | Sedation, calmness, and muscle relaxation |
Is Clonazolam safe?
Clonazolam’s high potency makes it easy to overdose, leading to severe sedation and other serious side effects. It lacks extensive clinical testing, so its long-term safety is unknown.
Common side effects
| Side Effect | Description |
|---|---|
| Drowsiness | Excessive sleepiness |
| Lethargy | Lack of energy |
| Slurred speech | Difficulty speaking clearly |
| Blurred vision | Impaired eyesight |
| Respiratory distress | Breathing difficulties |
Serious risks
- Dependence: Prolonged use can lead to dependence and severe withdrawal symptoms.
- Overdose: High doses can cause respiratory failure, requiring medical intervention.
- Intoxication: This can lead to risky behaviors and accidents due to impaired judgment.
Harm reduction tips
Using Clonazolam safely requires caution. Here are some harm-reduction strategies:
Dosage management
- Start low: Begin with the lowest possible dose (0.2 mg) to gauge your body’s reaction.
- Avoid high doses: Do not exceed 0.5 mg, as higher doses can lead to severe sedation.
Avoid dangerous combinations
| Combination | Reason |
|---|---|
| Alcohol | Increases risk of severe sedation and respiratory distress |
| Opioids | High risk of overdose and death |
| Other benzodiazepines | Heightened risk of dependence and overdose |
Activities to avoid (Discover the Best Clonazolam Source 2024)
- Driving: Do not operate vehicles or heavy machinery.
- Swimming: Avoid swimming, as it can increase the risk of drowning.
- Alcohol consumption: Steer clear of alcohol to prevent compounded sedative effects.
Avoid Taking Clonazolam If You Have Certain Medical Conditions
You need to inform your doctor if you have any health conditions, as clonazolam may worsen them.
It’s wise to avoid clonazolam (or other benzos) if you have any of the following conditions or symptoms:
- Breathing problems such as COPD, asthma, and sleep apnea
- Conditions affecting respiratory drives, such as brain or spinal cord lesions
- Acute angle closure glaucoma
- Chronic liver disease
- Chronic Kidney disease
- Psychosis
- Pregnancy and lactation
